The Process

Troy and Jeanette from TJN Accountants, were unable to grow their business further with the current office layout they worked within, this limited their ability to hold private meetings, employ additional staff members and have essential amenities within the current footprint.

With functionality and layout being a major concern, we started our Planning and Design process with them. The overarching goal was not only to create additional space for the business to grow, but have this new space as a functional aspect to their home if sold in the future.

The Design incorporated a new board room, full bathroom, staff breakout and kitchen area. These spaces were designed in a way to reduce noise transfer between spaces and increase office space layout and functionality. Sound proofing in all the walls and thermal insulation in the ceiling space ensured a quiet and comfortable end result for our clients, including air-conditioning throughout and custom sun shade window dressings.

As with all Kai Konstruct projects, a detailed build schedule for the project was confirmed at the beginning, this was of utmost importance as our clients needed to continue operating as per normal during the construction. Clear communication was another key aspect to the success of this project to ensure minimal disturbance to our client’s business and family life.

The end result for our clients allowed for the comfortable expansion of their busy accounting practice. The addition not only provides Troy and Jeanette with a functional work environment for the now, but actually adds substantial value to their property if they decide to sell in the future. The addition allows for an entirely separate, self-contained living space perfect for a multigenerational buyer.
