Our Cannon Hill clients approached Kai Konstruct with a vision to transform a 1920’s original Queenslander character home into a modern office space.
After searching high and low, David and Sonia finally found the perfect location to base their advertising and marketing agency – iCreate. The site offered the dual residential and office zoning they required and the building was of adequate size. However, with the home almost 100-years-old, they were faced with the enormous challenge of transforming this Queensland relic into a creative work-hub worthy of housing their 11 staff members while also setting a sterling standard of professionalism for their valued clients.
Enter Kai Konstruct. Tim and his team were unperturbed by the task at hand despite being faced with winding hallways as well as awkwardly-placed bathrooms, bedrooms and kitchen. After meeting with Tim, David and Sonia had no hesitation in trusting Kai Konstruct’s leader with the mammoth task at hand – which he delivered on time in just 12 weeks.
The iCreate office now resembles a modern office, boasting a massive timber floor open-plan work area, beautiful sitting room and huge boardroom, all of which have high ceilings and are draped with fixtures, fittings and textures exuding a modern feel – while also giving a nod to the dwelling’s nostalgic past. The new male and female bathrooms and modern kitchen round out a complete overhaul of the interior. The exterior has also been transformed by Tim and his team via a new colour scheme making David and Sonia’s renovation dream a reality.
Tim simplified the process and understood our budget of an office renovation every step of the way. Always coming back to our brief, his understanding and suggestions gave us the exact customised approach we really wanted to achieve for our office. The level of professionalism exceeded my expectations and the entire process was really enjoyable. Ultimately the outcome we are left with is a beautiful space that we are proud to bring clients through, and is also a great place to work.
