When Emily’s mum moved from overseas to live with the family, they wanted to give her a space of her own, independent, but still close. With a brand-new home already built and room to spare on the block, the answer wasn’t to move; it was to build a secondary dwelling for mum now, and a multigenerational home that future-proofs the property for later.

They loved their street and community, they just weren’t sure what the block could take, or how to navigate council on a fixed price.
Building on fill, close to the Nature River Reserve boundary, meant extra foundations and careful planning before anything could start.

Involved from the start, we handled it all design, approvals, and a full turnkey build. We placed our Haven design in the best spot on the block and built it onsite, start to finish in four months.

Today Emily’s mum lives independently, close enough to be part of daily family life, in a home matched in finish to the main house down to the colours and cladding, so it belongs rather than reading as an add-on.
